On the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, January 22, my husband and four oldest children participated in the March for Life at our State Capitol. We were all going to go, but Kieran was sick so I stayed home with the four youngest children.
My husband told me that the turn out was great. He and the children were happy to have been able to go and show their support for life. Marchers came from all over the state, filling the steps of the State Capitol building and the steps of the State Supreme Court.

I was happy to hear that Bishop Elizondo spoke at the March again this year. A few years ago, he talked about asking Our Blessed Mother to intervene for the unborn babies who are in danger of being murdered in their mothers’ wombs. During that year, Bishop Elizondo ended his speech by inviting everyone to pray a Hail Mary with him. It was wonderful to hear everyone praying for Mary’s intercession together.
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
