Pasch of Roses

Yesterday morning, as we left for Mass, one of my older daughters commented, “Oh look, the red roses bloomed just in time for Pentecost!” This morning I read the following, “This feast has been called the Pasch of Roses, because red roses are thought to be emblems of the the tongues of fire that descended upon Mary and the apostles.” I cannot help but marvel at how the beauty of nature coincides with the Liturgical year. God is so good!
