Please Pray

Please pray for my friend Kim. Kim will be having brain surgery tomorrow, July 7. Her surgery was originally scheduled for the 14th of this month; however, after an MRI, doctors decided that it would be best to move the surgery up a week.

Update via a mutual friend: Thank you to everyone who is praying for Kim. The good news is that the doctors removed necrotic tissue which relieved pressure on Kim’s brain. Kim is coherent. Cancer cells were found on the membrane of her brain. Please continue to pray for Kim.

Oh, dear, we will pray for her. It must be quite serious.

Thank you, Eva. It is very serious. Kim is accepting of God's will. She has been fighting cancer for a while. Please pray for Kim's husband and children too.

Oh, my! I will pray for your friend and her family. Such a heavy cross for a family to bear.

Thank you, Kimberlee. In our most recent emails, Kim and I talked about asking for Fr. Walker's intercession. She was hoping to receive the last rites from Fr. Terra before her surgery (Kim and her family moved to Phoenix last year), but Fr. S. said that it isn't currently possible and recommended a couple of other priests. Fr. S. knows Kim and will be offering a Mass for her on the 14th (her original surgery date).

That must be so hard! I wish she could have heard our pastor's homily this morning. It was all about leaning on God in situations like that. Will you be able to visit her?

It sounds like a great sermon. Unfortunately, I will not be able to visit Kim, as she and her family moved to Phoenix last year.

You have to let us know how she is doing when you get a chance. Too bad you cannot visit.
