I spoke to Brendan, my dad, and my sister this morning. They arrived safely in Rodrigues. Brendan was very happy to see my dad. They have always had a special bond. After arriving, he helped take my dad’s dog, Dot Com, for a walk. He also herded some goats and fed the chickens. I won’t be surprised if Brendan tells us that he wants to stay with my dad longer than three weeks, or suggests that we move there.

My sister told me that while they were traveling, Brendan had only slept for three hours. She pointed out that during that time, I had slept for two nights. After speaking with me, he was going to take a shower and go to bed. My sister sent a text message a couple of hours later and let me know that he was sleeping soundly.
