Yesterday, my smiling son served Mass for the first time. He has been wanting to do so since before he received his First Communion in December 2007. He was grinning from ear to ear when he met us in the vestibule after Mass. During dinner, he told us that Mass goes by a lot faster when serving. He is looking forward to serving Mass again next Sunday when his sister receives her First Communion.

When not working on lessons, chores, or outside playing, he has been watching How to Serve the Latin Mass.

I pray that he continues to enjoy serving Mass and that his brothers eventually join him in doing so.
